CONGRATULATIONS TO NAFFS CHAPMAN SCHOLARSHIP AWARD WINNERS: On September 3 NAFFS West Coast Scholarship Chair Patrick Imburgia presented NAFFS’ third annual West Coast Scholarship Awards to a deserving student in the Chapman University Food Science Program. Professor and Program Director Dr. Anuradha Prakash and Associate Dean Dr. Janeen Hill were also on hand to congratulate the student.

Questions and Answers Regarding the Final Rule on Establishment and Maintenance of Records: On December 9, 2004, FDA issued a final rule that requires the establishment and maintenance of records by persons who manufacture, process, pack, transport, distribute, receive, hold, or import food in the United States. Such records are to allow for the identification of the immediate previous sources and the immediate subsequent recipients of food.
